Celebrate it all

pink birthday cake and flowers. Celebrate it all.I completed a 30 day blogging challenge and I feel wonderful. I did something for 30 consecutive days and most days I did not feel like writing but I did it anyway. Yay me! I am going to celebrate me. I have a bad habit of undermining my accomplishments. Not anymore, I have learned the importance of celebration. I made the decision to celebrate it all and it feels good.

Celebration keeps you motivated and expansive. Dreaming bigger, taking action. I can definitely use more of both in my life. So, I want to encourage you to celebrate it all, don’t assume what you’re doing is no big deal. You’re doing it and that makes it a big deal. I am so tired right now, side effects of the all nighter I pulled two nights ago.. Be encouraged.

Change my Life

bouquet of flowers

I write about clarity and taking consistent action quite a bit. It’s because I have realized in my own life how important these steps are if I am to have the life that I really desire. I also did not realize how difficult it would be for me to have clarity and take consistent action. You see, at the time, my mindset was not right for having the life that I wanted. Why? I didn’t think that it was important for me to have structure and discipline. I thought I could take shortcuts to the life I desired. I slowly (yes slowly) learned that it was time for me to stop resisting and follow the pattern of others who were living their dreams if I wanted to change my life.

After I made the decision to follow the pattern, it was still difficult for me. I still had a lot of resistance, a lot of limiting beliefs that I had to let go of. I worked through some of my obvious blocks that allowed me to work on my personal development. I was doing what needed to be done to become a person who took consistent action in my life. Things were changing, I was changing and I loved who I was becoming.

Maybe you’re like how I was, wanting change but not sure how to make it happen. You can take years and do it alone, or you can have someone like me help you get to where you want to be quicker. I’ll help you map out a plan so you can take action to have the life you really want. We’ll have what I call a Virtual VIP session ( ~3hrs). Just you and me on a video conference so you can have what you desire in your life. Let’s have a complimentary conversation about where you are and where you want to be in your life and see if a VIP session is best for you. Schedule your call here.

My farm

I would love to live on a farm someday. My daughter wants us to move to Italy. Maybe. I’m open. But back to my farm. I don’t want to be a farmer. I love open land and there are certain aspects of country living that appeals to me. I want a few farm animals, I want to have a big garden, and I want to wake up early and bake bread. I really do.

When I sit and visualize me being on my farm I smile. My body feels light and I’m so happy and fulfilled. This is where I’m supposed to be. It’s time to make it happen.

What have you been dreaming about, visualizing, that makes you feel pure bliss? Are you doing anything to make it a reality? I don’t know about you but I’ve seen my farm in my mind too often to keep it there. It’s time to make it happen. I’m going to read my post about digging ditches again. You should to. Let’s go dig ditches. READ DIG DITCHES HERE

Dig Ditches

ditch

Dig ditches.

Dig ditches, when you’re trusting for things to somehow work out the advice given is to “dig a ditch.” In the Bible, In the book of 2 Kings 3 several kings and their armies were journeying through the wilderness. After seven days there was no more water for them or the animals traveling with them.

The kings didn’t know what to do. They asked if there was a prophet traveling with them. Elisha the prophet was with them and he was told to consult the Lord for a solution. The Lord heard Elisha and answered and told them to make the valley where they were, full of ditches.

Dig ditches when there was no water or sign of water? What else could they do? They had to follow God’s instructions. Not only did He tell them to make the valley full of ditches, he told them they would see no signs of rain but the valley would be full of water.

To dig ditches required faith, it was a sign that they believed the water would come. The water came. In abundance, it filled the valley, just like God said it would. What are you believing God to do in your life? What problem do you have that desperately needs solving? Dig ditches, show Him that you believe you’ll receive what you’re believing for. Trust Him today.

If you’re struggling to believe God and would like to talk and pray, schedule a call with me HERE .

Push past your feelings

I’m feeling lazy today, I think I’ll do nothing.

I’m doing a 30 day blogging challenge (Blogging Challenge) I won’t lie to you, the struggle is real. Seriously, there are days that I really have no desire to blog. Not only is there no desire, sometimes I can’t even think of what to blog about. Yikes! Not a good problem to have during a 30 day challenge. On days when I’ve felt this way do you know what I did? I wrote the blog post anyway! Yup. Those feelings are fickle and if I had given in to them I probably would have written about 2 blog posts so far, instead of 10.

Being consistent, keeping my commitments to myself, and not giving in to that voice telling me to throw in the towel, are why I am going to be successful with this blogging challenge. I want to encourage you today to not give in to feelings that are telling you to quit. Push past your feelings and do what you’ve committed to doing. You will be rewarded. Your whole life will change because when you’re consistent, when you’re keeping commitments to yourself, and when you’re doing what needs to be done even if you don’t feel like it, your life has to change because you have changed.

Is taking consistent action difficult for you? Do you need help to push past your feelings? Schedule a complimentary conversation with me let’s see how I can help. SCHEDULE CALL

Make the Shift

I love horses, their strength and power truly inspire me. When I see horses in pictures and in nature I get so happy and want to do something. Why don’t I have a picture of me with horses? I have to make that happen. I digress, back to my original thought.

A while back, I made a decision to take action to live the life I really desired to live. There was one problem though, my action was not consistent. You probably know what happened, that life I desired was not showing up 🙁

You see, it wasn’t until I committed to taking consistent action towards what I desired that things began to shift for me. Gradually I noticed changes in me, I was becoming the person I wanted to be. I began having big shifts, incredible opportunities started showing up for me, and I wasn’t feeling stuck and unfulfilled any more.

My consistent action was resulting in more ideas, more money, more opportunity, and more freedom for me. Was it easy getting here? NO! Was it worth it? DEFINITELY!

Will you commit today to taking consistent action towards what you want in your life?

When the words won’t come

Have you ever had one of those days, you know, the days where the words won’t come. It may not be words that aren’t coming for you, maybe it’s ideas or desire to complete or start a project with a looming deadline. I’ve had many of these types of days and guess what, today is one of those days. How am I getting through it? Even though the words aren’t flowing the way that I want them to, I started writing exactly what I was feeling, and guess what, words came. Maybe not the words that I was expecting, but words nonetheless. Words that created momentum and taught me a powerful lesson that I am sharing with you right now…when you don’t know what to do, do something!

If you’re struggling with becoming a person who takes action to have what you want, I invite you to A Course in Personal Development remember, when you don’t know what to do, do something!

Motivation, where did it go and how do I get it back?

Have you ever had the desire to do or have something but couldn’t find the motivation to actually get started? Maybe you got started but coudn’t motivate yourself enough to finish.  I’ve been there and it’s no fun. Because I have been there way too many times I want to share with you how to end the start and not finish cycle in your life.

First, when the motivation is lacking it’s usually because you’re not really clear about what you want. Clarity makes you excited, it gives you something to work towards. Without it, you’re going to wander aimlessly skipping from one project to the next, never completing anything.

Well, what if you have clarity but still no motivation? When you have clarity and no motivation it is most likely because you have clarity about the wrong thing. Are you doing what your heart is calling you to do or are you doing what you’re doing because everyone else is doing it? When you work in opposition to what God has called you to do it will always be a struggle; either you will not have motivation to finish or you will finish the work and be unhappy.

I was going to write more but I think that’s enough for you to think about and take action on. Until next time.

Doing these 3 things can change everything

Can doing 3 things really change your life? Come along with me and let’s find out. If you’re going to embark on this journey with me you have to see it through, that means if you start you have to finish. If you struggle with this you may want to check this out:  A Course in Personal Development . Now, onto the 3 things.

  1. Get really clear about what you want.  I know, you’re probably tired of hearing all the talk about clarity, but it really is necessary if you are going to change anything in your life. What do you want? I mean, in detail, what do you REALLY want? The question is simple enough but you’ll be surprised how many people struggle with answering it. Knowing what you want requires that you dig deep and be honest with yourself. Sometimes, we just don’t want to take that trip. If you really want things to change I encourage you to go there, because the truth is, nothing much will change in your favor until you do.
  2. Create a plan for getting what you want. You’re probably thinking, “Are you serious? The reason I’m even reading this article is because I don’t know how to do this.” Well, you do know how to do this and if you completed #1 then this should not be too difficult. Clarity bring focus which is why the first step was to get really clear about what you want. Once you have the clarity you will know what’s necessary to have what you want. So, if you didn’t get really clear about what you want, go back and complete #1. Once again, the truth is, nothing much will change in your favor until you do.
  3. Take action. Yup, this. You can have clarity and a plan but nothing much is going to happen until you implement your plan. You can’t let your plans sit in a notebook or a journal and age. Taking action, even small ones, builds momentum and momentum is what is going to see the successful attainment of whatever it is that you want to do. If you struggle with taking action you probably need something like this:  A Course in Personal DevelopmentBy now you probably realize, nothing much will change in your favor until you do.

There you have it. The three things that you can start doing right now that can change everything in your life. The plan is very simplistic but it doesn’t mean that it will be easy to become the type of person who knows what they want and does what it takes to have what they want. If you’re struggling with becoming this person I want to invite you to A Course in Personal Development because remember, nothing is going to change until you do.
