Dig Ditches

Dig ditches.

Dig ditches, when you’re trusting for things to somehow work out the advice given is to “dig a ditch.” In the Bible, In the book of 2 Kings 3 several kings and their armies were journeying through the wilderness. After seven days there was no more water for them or the animals traveling with them.

The kings didn’t know what to do. They asked if there was a prophet traveling with them. Elisha the prophet was with them and he was told to consult the Lord for a solution. The Lord heard Elisha and answered and told them to make the valley where they were, full of ditches.

Dig ditches when there was no water or sign of water? What else could they do? They had to follow God’s instructions. Not only did He tell them to make the valley full of ditches, he told them they would see no signs of rain but the valley would be full of water.

To dig ditches required faith, it was a sign that they believed the water would come. The water came. In abundance, it filled the valley, just like God said it would. What are you believing God to do in your life? What problem do you have that desperately needs solving? Dig ditches, show Him that you believe you’ll receive what you’re believing for. Trust Him today.

Your Dream Life Can Become Your Real Life

I am frustrated by people who talk about a life they would love to live and do nothing to make it happen
. If there is one thing that I want you to get from reading this article it is that your dream life can become your real life.

If you’re dreaming of a different way of living then what you’re dreaming of is possible. You have to believe it and take steps to make it happen. Faith is having complete trust in something (dictionary.com). Trust your dream, trust that it is possible for you and go after it.

Believing that your dream can become a reality is difficult for a lot of people; I don’t want you to be one of the people who continues to doubt your dream. Say this out loud, “My dream life can become my real life”, say it until you believe it and then take steps to make it happen. Your dream life can become your real life.

Have you ever stepped out to do something that was a huge leap of faith for you? It required faith in yourself and faith in God. Let me tell you, it’s not for the distracted. You have to continuously remind yourself of why you made the decision to take the leap and stay there. Don’t give up, stay away from those you know will plant seeds of doubt. Surround yourself with other faith leapers, do it in person, through books, through videos and podcasts. Most importantly stay connected to the One who gave you the vision. Hold on tight because the first leap isn’t the only leap.

If you’re easily distracted you can develop new habits that will keep you focused on your goal or vision. Join me for the 7 Day Habit Challenge. Sign up here: 7 Day Habit Challenge
