Are you the one?

Are you the one? The one who is truly ready to do something to make your life even better. If you’ve been reading my blog, following me on social media, or reading my emails you know that I am passionate about helping you to live life the way you really desire to. To live life fulfilled, focused, and achieving whatever you purpose in your heart to do.

In my own life, when I was feeling stuck and taking inconsistent action I so badly wanted someone to “hold my hands” and guide me, show me how to get out of the rut that I was in for way too long. The Key to a Rich and Satisfying Life

What does a rich and satisfying life look like for you?

I talk a lot about living the life you really want, having clarity, and taking action. However, there’s something that I believe has to happen in order for you to live the life you really want. That something is that you have to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. You have to want to do life His way. You can have everything in place, know what you want, taking action to make it happen, and you can still be dying on the inside. You see, a rich and satisfying life is not possible without Him.

When Jesus is the head of your life, when you have relationship with Him, He will lead and direct you. When you follow His way, when you consult Him first, life is so much better. You’ll have the life you really want, and it will be a rich and satisfying life. Not many can say that about their lives. Will your life be rich and satisfying?

3 Steps to Maintaining Motivation

In my last post I talked about the benefits of having clarity. If you missed it, you can read it here: BENEFITS OF CLARITY. In that post, I promised to talk about maintaining motivation and momentum. Why? Because when you’re clear about what you want and start making progress towards it, obstacles will come. They show up in the form of limiting beliefs, remarks by people of influence in your life, and life events. To live the life you really want to live, you have to be able to keep going despite what’s going on in your life.So, how do you do it? Here are some things you can do to keep motivated to have the life you really want.

3 Steps to Take for Maintaining Motivation to Live The Life You Really Want:

  1. Regroup and ask if what you’re going after is still what you want.
    This one can be tough to do, especially if you’ve been pursuing something for a long time. However, it may be exactly what’s needed for maintaining motivation.
  2. Create a written motivation plan. 
    This plan should include music you listen to that perks you up, motivational videos/podcasts, and activities that you enjoy. When your motivation starts to dwindle grab your list and do some of the things on there whether you want to or not.
  3. Surround yourself with people who are taking consistent action in their lives.
    The company you keep is so important. There’s a saying that goes “You lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas.” This saying is so true. You may think who you surround yourself with isn’t affecting you but it is. Maintaining motivation is going to require that you choose your companions wisely.

It’s important to maintain your momentum by staying motivated if you are going to live the life you really want. When you’re not motivated you more than likely won’t take action. 3 Ways Clarity Will Change Your Life

Do you know what you want to have, be, and do? A lot of people live life without clear answers to these questions. They face each day agitated and stressed and are unsure why they feel that way.

These issues are then addressed with prescription meds, alcohol, or illegal drugs. What’s really being addressed are the symptoms of a bigger problem. That problem is lack of clarity.

Having clarity will change your outlook on life; it will give you life.

Here are a few things having clarity will do for you:

1. Reduce stress.

When you know what you want life becomes more simple. It’s easier to say “no” to the activities and people that pull you away from your goals and dreams.

2. Boost your confidence.

When you know what you want you walk a little taller. Clarity builds confidence.

3. Wake you up excited to live your life.

Knowing what you desire gives you something to focus on. When you’re focused you have purpose and that is what will wake you up excited each day. In my next blog post I’ll talk about how to stay motivated.

Lessons learned from Ben

I learned a lesson from my mom’s dog, Ben. Ben is a gentle bear, he’s so sweet and he loves to be cuddled (all day!). When Ben wants to be cuddled he does whatever it takes to receive the love, he pushes his way between whatever barrier is keeping him from my hands, he pushes any one or my other dog out of the way, he positions his head so that you have no choice but to pet him. He really knows how to get what he wants. So here are lessons learned from Ben.

Ben has reminded me that:

  • If you want something go after it
  • Don’t be deterred if you’re told no, keep trying
  • Know what you want
  • Don’t let others stop you from getting what you want

There is so much we can learn from observing the world around us. Pay attention and put into action what you observe. Dreaming of 2018

In approximately 73 days 2018 will be here and I’m excited about it. The New Year is a great time to regroup, reassess, and decide what to do next and do it. I have so much that I want to do in 2018. Quiet Time Gives Life: 5 Signs that it’s time for some

Quiet time. It seems like a rare commodity. People are not making time for it anymore. I wonder why? Are they afraid of it? Are you afraid to be alone with yourself and God? Quiet time gives life, could this be why it is so elusive?

Lately my quiet time has not been a priority. I’ve been squeezing it in after everything else in my day is done and I’m so tired that the time I’ve been spending is so short. It’s time for me to make it a number one priority again, nothing should come before my quiet time, my time with the Lord. Once I spend time with Him He shows me how to manage my time for everything else. Once I spend time with Him, the answers to whatever problems I may be facing become clear and I am equipped to face whatever life dishes out. Quiet time gives you life and here’s how to tell that you haven’t made it a priority:

  1. You feel like your life is out of control.
  2. You feel agitated.
  3. You struggle to make decisions.
  4. Something is bothering you and you can’t seem to put your finger on what it is.
  5. You’re not the nicest person to be around.

If the list resonated with you, it’s time to make quiet time with the Lord a priority. Start where you are, wake up a few minutes earlier, go to bed a few minutes later, do whatever it takes but start somewhere.You don’t have to have big chunks of time to get started, 15 minutes is a good starting point. As you spend time with the Lord He’ll show you how to free up more time for what matters most.

Spending time alone may be difficult for you, your mind races, you can’t focus, the attention deficit really kicks in. It’s ok, keep going. The more you have time alone, the easier it will become to quiet your mind. During your quiet time tell the Lord why you’re there, what you’re feeling and then just wait on Him; He’ll give you everything you need, sometimes right then, sometimes as you go about your day. Trust Him and when you hear, obey. Your quiet time gives life, don’t go without it. Let me know how having quiet time has made your life better.
